Artist's Statement

 

Painting is an expression of the consciousness of the artist.

 

My interest in painting is to express a greater greater degree 

of consciousness in my work.  

 

When the consciousness of the observer resonates favorably 

with that of the artist, the experience is pleasant and promotes joy.

 

I believe the purpose of creation is the expansion of happiness. 

Painting is my small contribution to that goal.

Apart from commissioned paintings I've completed over the years, 

I have worked as a muralist and faux-finish painter, as well as 

painting maquettes (small models) for movies and theme parks.

 

I currently teach Art at San Cayetano Elementary School and the 

Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley.
